What is the most difficult safety accident to prevent?

April 24, 2018

Many times, it’s the kind of accident or instance that never crossed your mind—until it’s too late. That’s why one of the greatest occupational health and safety challenges is that every worksite presents its own set of unique safety challenges. While being aware of hazards is a step in the right direction, it’s critical to not only reactively mitigate hazards and risks as they arise, but also to proactively anticipate and recognize them before they escalate into larger problems.

Health and safety managers and business owners who take a proactive approach to their safety programs often rely on 3M’s technical service team to give them a critical, outside perspective. That’s because we care just as much about helping you understand the hazards as we do about helping you find the best solution.

What can health and safety managers do to help with accident prevention?

While you may need us to perform an on-site walkthrough to help you evaluate your personal protective equipment (PPE) needs or help address a certain issue, we also provide other educational resources to help you identify potential hazards. From courses that cover common specific hazards—such as respiratory issues, noise hazards, welding fumes or fall prevention and rescue—to our 3M Safety Roadshows where you’ll get hands-on product demonstrations, webinars and more, we can provide the resources to help you reduce worker risks.
